Welcome - Birch Springs Ranch-Horse Camps

DAILY SCHEDULE

Our camps are intended for riders 8 – 14 years of age, of any skill level and any discipline. All of our horsemanship camps follow the training through trust program. Please note no cell phones or electronic devices allowed on site. Camp will start at 9:00am on the first day and parents are encouraged to attend at 2:00pm on the final day for a special horse show and windup BBQ.

 

Day 1

• Arrival time – 9:00am

• Grooming – 9:30am

• Liberty work – 10:00am

• Halter work – 10:30am

• Water & Cleanup riding area – 11:00am

• Free Time – 11:30am

• Lunch – 12:00pm

• Work through the obstacle course –1:00pm

• Pleasure ride to end the day, lead by instructors 2:00pm

• Snack – 3:00pm (Snacks available all day)

• Explore the Ranch, walking – 3:30pm

• Beach Time, swimming – 4:00pm

• Free Time – 5:00pm

• Dinner – 6:00pm

• Camp Fire & Games – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

• Lights Out 9:00pm

 

Day 2

• Wake up – 7:45am

• Water & Feed Horses - 8:15am

• Breakfast & Cleanup 8:30am – 9:30am

• Grooming – 9:30am

• Liberty work – 10:00am

• Tacking up Properly – 10:30am

• Water & Cleanup riding area – 11:00am

• Free Time – 11:30am

• Lunch – 12:00pm

• Work through obstacle course under saddle – 1:00pm

• Pleasure trail ride to end the day, lead by instructors if needed. - 1:30pm

• Snack – 3:00pm (Snacks available all day)

• Beach Time, canoeing– 3:30pm

• Free Time – 5:00pm

• Dinner – 6:00pm

• Camp Fire & Games – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

• Lights Out 9:00pm

 

Day 3

• Wake up – 7:45am

• Water & Feed Horses - 8:15am

• Breakfast & Cleanup 8:30am – 9:30am

• Grooming – 9:30am

• Tacking up Properly – 10:00am

• Show Rehearsal – 10:30am

• Water & Cleanup riding area – 11:30am

• Lunch – 12:00pm

• Pleasure trail ride to end the day – 1:00pm

• Beach Time, swimming with horses – 2:00pm

• Snack – 3:30pm (Snacks available all day)

• Show Rehearsal – 4:00pm

• Free Time – 5:00pm

• Dinner – 6:00pm

• Camp Fire & Games – 7:00pm – 8:30pm

• Lights Out 9:00pm

 

Day 4

• Wake up – 7:45am

• Water & Feed Horses - 8:15am

• Breakfast & Cleanup 8:30am – 9:30am

• Grooming – 9:30am

• Show Rehearsal – 10:30am

• Water & Cleanup riding area – 11:30am

• Set up for Final Show - 12:00pm

• Free Time & Snack - 12:30pm

• BBQ with Families - 2:00pm

• Special Show for the Families – 3:30pm

• Cleanup & Pack up – 4:30pm

• Pickup Time 5:00pm
